Day One with Optifast

Today was a great day. I spent the early morning with Andrew and Sam and then had coffee with my friend, Mary--very nice. It's the first day of Uni today so I have been getting all of the welcome letters and forums ready for the students. I’m working in 5 subjects this semester plus doing liaison.

I started the Optifast diet today--a shake sachet, a soup sachet, a salad, a chocolate bar something and 2 litres of water. Not bad at all. Although the chocolate bar did little for me. I'm happy that I am now on my way….

I wanted to be in good physical shape--or, let's be honest, the best physical shape I could be in. So I went for a walk today, lifted Sam's weights and did dumb bells. Sam would say that I tried to lift his weights--he is going to help me do it better! Apparently I "have no idea what to do"!!!

  1. Sounds like a good start. What are 'sachets' (I think of them being being the things you put in your underwear draw to make it smell nice)

    Nothing better than raising a child...then when they are adult, they tell you how to live your life.

    I forgot that "sachet" was not used in that context in America. It is a little packet--oh no, I think that word is Australian too--I cannot speak in my mother tongue anymore!!! A sachet/packet is a little bag. So I open up this little bag of Optifast, and it has the powder stuff in it that I mix with water. There are shakes for breakfast and soups for lunch and dinner. You can have this chocolate bar thing--I tried that, and it just tasted like I was eating leather so I'm sticking to the shakes and soups now. Not too bad.
